At the beginning, Dean Bi Qinsheng expounded the purpose and significance of the event. Firstly, he hoped that the teachers in our faculty would unite together and do a good job in scientific research; Secondly, the research work should be “indomitable” and the results of theoretical research should be combined with social needs; Thirdly, he hoped that in this series of activities, each teacher can strengthen communication and find mutual cooperation points.

Afterward, Prof. Tang Chun described his own research experience. Prof. Tang talked about the research status of micro-nano mechanics from the four directions of modeling, deformation, force-electric coupling, mechanics and device design. Each direction was described in detail through one or two cases and was compared by theoretical and experimental data. Regarding scientific research, Prof. Tang’s experience is that Chinese people are very good. Researchers must take care of themselves, be good at cooperation, keep up with the frontier, and dare to question authority. In personal experience, Professor Tang used some interesting words and events to compare his life in China and America. Professor Tang's report was humorous and interacted with the teachers and students present. The atmosphere was very lively.
This report has aroused the strong interest of teachers and students. Through this report, it promoted academic exchange and enhanced mutual understanding among teachers. The report also created a good atmosphere for mutual cooperation which effectively boosted the construction of scientific research teams in our faculty. Besides, the students have a relatively clear understanding of how to carry out simple academic work。
