In order to help freshmen adapt to university life and integrate into the new environment quickly, our faculty held a lecture on mental health education in the lecture hall 203 on September 13th. The lecture was given by teacher Jing Lu from Mental Health Education Center. All freshmen attended the meeting.
Teacher Lu contrasted the common cognition of college life with the real situation. In the sharp contrast, she let freshmen understand the real appearance of college life and realize the gap between the ideal and reality of college. She put forward five aspects to conduct an omni-directional guidance for freshman to help them face the difference between ideal and reality calmly, and encourage them to set up the goal of trying to make reality into ideal living.
Through this lecture, the students all expressed that they had gained a lot and had a clear understanding of the mental health of college life. According to the instruction, they will adjust themselves from five aspects and integrate themselves into the university as soon as possible.
