In order to promote Chinese traditional culture and friendly exchange between our students and international friends, the Overseas Exchange Association of our faculty held an activity in the theme of “Dumplings & Friendship” at Xishan Food City at 5 p.m. on Nov.10th. About 20 students attended the party.
The organizers arrived at the event site in advance to help the canteen staff to prepare the ingredients fort the event. After a specific introduction of rules, the event officially began. During the event, the organizers actively communicated with international friends, taught them the methods and techniques of making dumplings, and explained to them the long history of dumplings, so that international friends can fully feel the charm of Chinese traditional food culture. Then, with the help of the canteen staff, the steaming dumplings were served on the dining table. In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, everyone enjoyed the delicious taste.
This event not only enhanced the communication but also exercised everyone's hands-on ability. It also showed the great charm of Chinese traditional culture to international friends and enhanced their friendship.
