In order to further consolidate overseas students’ professional theoretical knowledge, broaden their views, clarify their professional ideas, recognize the direction of the graduation work and improve the social practice ability, our faculty organized all the overseas undergraduate students visited Zhenjiang Survey and Surveying Research Institute and the construction site of the new campus of Jiangsu University under the guidance of Dr. Su bo and teacher Qian Hai on Dec.9^th, 2017.

At about 9 a.m., everyone arrived at the Zhenjiang Survey and Surveying Research Institute. Under the guidance of the director Wu Xiaoliang, we first visited the laboratory of the institute. In the explanation of the instructor of the laboratory and the teachers, every student got the principles and approaches of the equipment. Then, director Wu showed the history, present situation and future of the company to the students. Finally, director Wu answered every question from students patiently.

After leaving Zhenjiang Survey and Surveying Research Institute, students came to the construction site of the new campus of Jiangsu University at 10:30am. The director Shi introduced the overall planning of the new campus firstly and then showed all students the teaching building and the dormitory building. In the process, the teachers answered the questions about the professional knowledge and the work after graduation from the students correspondingly.

The overseas students have gained a deeper understanding of civil engineering and their work careers by the practice.
