To improve the quality of postgraduate education and guide the selection and proposal of the dissertation, our faculty held a mobilization meeting of the proposal of the postgraduate of 2016 class in room 0715 of SanJiang Building. All postgraduates of 2016 class and some freshman of 2017 class attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Associate Prof. Yu Han, assistant dean of our faculty

At the beginning, Yu Han stressed the importance of proposal and pointed that the main tasks of postgraduate are learning courses and research projects. In the first year of postgraduate, we should focus on learning courses while in the second year, we should devote to the research of the subject. The selection and proposal of the dissertation is the primary part and the key part of the research, which directly concerning the ability of the research. He encouraged each student to take the challenge in a positive manner from now on to make sure the proposal goes smoothly.

Then, associate Prof. Jie Yin from the department of civil engineering gave a detailed discuss about the goal and the meaning of the proposal combing his own experience on doing research.Prof. Jinxing Liu from the department of mechanics and engineering science made an explanation about selecting the theme, investigating papers, writing papers and the making of ppt.
