Shoaib Ahmed, master’s degree student at school of civil engineering was selected to attend prestige international Geoinformatics summer school workshop held at State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing, Wuhan University, from May 28th to June 9th, 2017. Participants from around 20 countries travelled to China to attend Geoinformatics Summer School 2017.
Academicians and Renowned experts from United States, Netherlands, Italy, China and other countries in the field of Geoinformatics are invited to deliver lectures and share their research work to motivate and facilitate participants. There were also one-to-one discussions between renowned experts and participants. At the end of Geoinformatics Summer School 2017, participants are required to do presentation on applications of Geoinformatics in their respective fields.
Shoaib Ahmed has also received the cash prize for his best presentation and active participation throughout Geoinformatics workshop.
