On Nov. 12th,invited by our Prof. Dr. Ronggui Liu, academician Jiaping Liu, from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology and distinguished professor Jiaping Liu,from Southeast University (SEU) came to our university and gave us lectures. Thelectures were held by Prof. Ronggui Liu at the first reporting hall of conferencecentre. About 250 teachers, undergraduates and postgraduates from JU attendedit.

Firstly, Prof. Jiaping Liu from SEU gave alecture titled “The concrete crack control technology”. Heintroduced the cause of inchoate concrete crack and the theoretical method of controlling the inchoate concrete shrinkage and crack, including the early deformation test system, gap pressure testing technology and early shrinkage cracking model. Afterwards, Prof. Liu interpreted the details of the new chemical reduction techniques of controlling inchoate concrete crack and expounded the control principle about concerning technology combined with practical engineering examples.

Then, academician Jiaping Liu gave a report with the topic of “Energy saving residential building system research ofthe Tibetan plateau”. The report illustrated the climate conditions and thermal environment of Tibet with a large number of data and charts, which leaded to the thermal design principle of solar building maintenance structure “heat” and study on the coefficient of heat transfer and convection in high altitude building surface. Finally he introduced “Standard for energy-saving design of residential building in the Tibet autonomous region and “Standards for civil building heating design ".
