With the end of the military training, on the morning of September 29th 2018, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Mechanics held the opening ceremony of 2018 freshmen in the first lecture hall. Leaders of the faculty and all the staff attended the meeting. The ceremony was hosted by deputy dean Xi'an Zhou.The ceremony began with the national anthem. Qinsheng Bi, dean of our faculty, and Wang Peng, representative of the teachers gave speech successively. At last, chairman of faculty affairs committee Hong Zhang made a summary speech. She hoped that the students in the university must have a firm belief, learn to be independent, be good at thinking, understand communication and improve their vigilance and security to shoulder the mission of the country and the nation, study hard, and strictly demand themselves to grow up as a pillar of the motherland.

As the first lesson for freshmen, the opening ceremony will help new students to better understand and adapt to university life, and also lay a solid foundation for the next new work.
